Mario de Elías is a former professional triathlete and the head coach of Konadots, with more than twelve years of experience as an endurance coach.
Since 2017, he has served as his own coach, applying a self-directed methodology that led him to become the
first Latin American athlete to complete an Ironman in under eight hours,
achieving a 7h52’02” performance at the Ironman South American Championship in Cozumel. He also qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii and earned multiple podium finishes across long-distance and 70.3 competitions.
After transitioning from professional competition, Mario continues to train and compete as an amateur athlete and is currently qualified for the 2026 World Championship, maintaining first-hand experience of the training process, performance challenges, and long-term development.
WHO WE ARE
A methodology built on process, consistency and long-term vision
Konadots is an endurance coaching company built from the methodology of EstiloNegro.
We believe performance is not an outcome, but the result of a structured process sustained over time. Our approach is based on consistency, data, and individual development, guiding athletes through long-term paths instead of short-term solutions.
Every athlete follows a unique trajectory. Our role is to design, monitor, and refine that path with precision and patience.
METHOD
A structured process for long-term performance
At Konadots, coaching is not a set of sessions. It is a continuous process designed to evolve over time.
Our methodology is built around structured planning, constant monitoring, and adaptive decision-making. We combine data, experience, and individual analysis to guide athletes through sustainable development paths, minimizing risk and maximizing long-term performance.
Every element of the process is designed to support progression, consistency, and resilience.
Assessment
1
We start by understanding the athlete: background, history, current condition, goals, and constraints.
This phase defines the baseline and identifies strengths, limitations, and development priorities.
Monitoring
3
Performance evolves through constant observation. We track training data, phisiological responses, and subjective feedback.
The process is constinuosly evaluated to ensure consistency and adaptation.
Planning
2
Based on the assessment, we design a structured long-term plan aligned with the athlete’s objectives and context.
Training load, intensity distribution, recovery, and progression are defined with precision.
Refinement
4
Training plans are not static. We refine the process through regular analysis and informed adjustments.
This ensures sustainable progression and minimizes the risk of stagnation and overload.
